Help for Houston

This week IMHS teamed up with a local veterinarian, Dr Sheila Rice-Watkins of Crow Hill Pet Hospital to provide support for those affected by hurricane Harvey. In under a week Dr Sheila pulled together a team of people to go, rented an RV and got two trucks with horse trailers to caravan down with her. IMHS of course was thrilled to help network and this amazing community filled both horse trailers to the brim with supplies for both the humans and the pets surviving this tragic storm.

A Go Fund Me Page was started and over $2500 to help this awesome team of helpers cover costs of the trip getting down to Texas and helping in whatever way needed.

It is an incredible honor to see the outpouring of generosity and care shown by the mountain community for people enduring the storm. IMHS will also be taking in a number of dogs from shelters and rescues trying to clear out space for lost and stray dogs who they hope to reunite with families torn apart by hurricane Harvey. If you would like to help support our mission to save these lives please donate to IMHS or if you can’t donate, apply to volunteer or foster!
