New Event--Trails for Tails Hike-a-thon!

NEW EVENT!! Come Hike for IMHS! Love hiking? Love supporting IMHS? Then have we got the event for YOU! On Sunday, July 23rd IMHS will host the first annual Trails for Tails Hike-a-Thon at Staunton State Park. Participants of this family-friendly community event will raise money for their hike online and then join us at our neighborhood State Park for a day of fun! IMHS has set a goal of raising $10,000 for this event and we need everyone’s help getting there! Office cat FINALLY gets her home!

Hi IMHS Fans – nice to meet you all! I’m Zelda, and I’m so excited to tell you all about my life since coming to IMHS. First off, don’t worry, it’s not one of those super sad weepy stories – just a happy story from a very happy cat. My original name was Thumbs, and they called me that because I’m POLYDACTYL. It’s OK if you don’t know what that means, I never heard that word before either. It just means I have extra toes – makes it more fun when I climb all over my people, but I never noticed I was different from other cats. When I came to IMHS in November of 2016, I had been an ‘office cat’ at a nearby veterinary office – but then they decided not to have any more cats in the office, s

April and May Board meetings--important info!

Both April and May's board meetings will be held at the Elk Creek Fire station in Conifer. Our May board meeting is always replaced by an annual gathering of the members where we do a year review of the previous year, talk about goals and what's coming up for this year and vote on issues, by-laws and new board members as a body. This is the one time a year where we ask the members to gather to show support, 'esprit de corps' and to rally the base. Think of it as an IMHS team building exercise or rally! It is required that we have at least 10% of our members in attendance at the annual meeting so please plan on coming out. We try to make it fun and there will be food and drink and more social
