

Storm Chasers
When Storm, a sweet and petrified pregnant one-year old lab/border collie mix was transferred to IMHS from an overcrowded shelter in Southern Colorado, we knew she couldn’t stay in the shelter. Rescued from a hoarding situation and scared of the world, she was expected to deliver any day and the shelter is no place for puppies and a stressed out mom. With no immunity to many of the diseases or illnesses that might pass through the shelter, the puppies would be at high risk.

New Year's Resolution to Volunteer More?
Running a small non-profit relies on volunteers. We have only a few staff and every other need is filled by volunteers. Everyone on the Board and everyone who runs the Thrift Store are all volunteers. Our committees, events and fundraising are all by volunteers. We have volunteers for every aspect and facet of running a business. But we need more!
We need your skills, time and attention. Some things are project based and some are daily but whatever you have to offer, we need

Late last summer we started a Capital Campaign. It was successful and got us our new van. Check out the pictures for our amazing van, now including the awesome new graphics! December 2016 Volunteers of the Month
Please help us in honoring the Faraco-Hadlock family! Their son Nicholas has
been helping us foster kittens for a long time and now the whole family has
pitched in and done an amazing job with Storm and her nine puppies!

Such a large litter is a daunting experience even for the most weathered foster
homes and this family took it on like champs. They have returned to us
