Ways to Help IMHS
Over 600 homeless and abandoned animals found a new home through our shelter last year. Could you help us?
Intermountain Humane Society is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. We receive no government support, but rely solely upon charitable donations, grants, fundraising events and adoption/surrender fees for our funding.
You may also mail donations to us at:
Intermountain Humane Society
PO Box 528
Pine, CO 80470
Pine Country Feed accepts monetary donations for us as well. You can make a donation in person (13851 S Glen Dr., Pine, CO) or via telephone (303-838-5186). Pine Country Feed has many items that we use on a regular basis. When you make a donation, they put it on our "tab" so that we can purchase supplies on an as-needed basis.
Other Ways to Help
If you shop on Amazon, you can make a difference! Simply start at Smile.Amazon.com each time you are shopping. When you first log in to your Amazon account via Smile, it will ask you which charitable organization you would like to shop for. Choose IMHS from the list of organizations. Begin each of your Amazon shopping trips from Smile, and a portion of every eligible sale will be donated to us!
IMHS depends on donations of pet food and other supplies. We maintain a wish list of supplies currently needed. Wish list items may be purchased online or locally and dropped off at the IMHS shelter during business hours, when we will be pleased to provide a donation receipt to be used for tax purposes. If you shop from Amazon - be sure to use Smile.Amazon.com to begin your shopping so that we also get a small donation from Amazon!
Support Intermountain Humane Society by donating your vehicle. Your donation is tax deductible.
2nd Chance Thrift Store
Shop at or donate to our 2nd Chance Thrift Store. All proceeds from the Thrift Store are used to keep the shelter running!
Throughout the year, we hold a variety of special events. Watch our upcoming events page to know where we will be! We have Hike-a-Thons, Hoe-Downs, silent auctions, and many other events!
Show your support! We have t-shirts, sweatshirts, calendars, and more! Many of the items have been donated to us, so in many cases 100% of your money spent goes towards helping shelter animals!
Conifer Sonic Drive In Fundraising Nights
We have partnered up with Sonic in Conifer! Watch our events calendar for our next Sonic night! On specific nights from 5-8pm, 10% of all sales comes to IMHS! You get some tasty treats for your family, and help out the shelter animals! Depending on the weather, there may even be shelter animals at Sonic greeting our supporters!
IMHS has a Facebook page, Instagram Account, Nextdoor, and Pinecam account. We love to share adoption updates, adoptable animals' stories, and fun posts on these pages. Like/Follow us, and share our posts. When you share our posts, it helps us expand our audience to find new adopters, donors, and supporters; helps us reunite lost animals with their family; and promotes more of our events.
Walk for A Dog
Download a free app for your smart phone that uses your GPS to map your walks/runs (with or without your dog). A donation is made based on the miles walked for our shelter. Visit to get the app, then search for our shelter. Whenever you go for a walk, simply turn on the app, and let it track your mileage for the dogs! There are also weekly challenges which could result in a large donation to the shelter!
Visit our volunteer page to apply for a variety of opportunities within the shelter.
Reloadable Gift Cards
Contact us to get a reloadable Safeway or King Soopers gift card. Before you do your grocery shopping for the day/week/month, reload up to $500 on to your special gift card. Use it to purchase your regular groceries or fuel. Up to 5% of whatever is loaded on to your card gets donated to us!
For a limited time, with donations of $10 or more, we will send you these awesome stickers to help raise awareness for both COVID-19 and shelter pets!!
