New Volunteer Coordinator: Lisa Hoffman

I'm excited to be the new Volunteer Coordinator at IMHS. I'm a huge believer in shelter pets, I think it's an amazing way for me to give back to our small foothills community. In this new role, I hope to be able to engage even more volunteers to strengthen the organization, where ever they fit in, as well as soliciting feedback from current volunteers about what is working and identify areas for improvement. I'd like to increase community involvement, and make even more local people aware of our small shelter. Meanwhile, here is a bit about me... I'm originally from New York state, and as a newlywed, moved to Southern California where my husband was a pilot in the US Marine Corps, and we lived for 10 years. We moved to Colorado when California began to feel crowded, and have been residents of the Evergreen/Conifer area since 1996. I'm a Realtor at Intero Real Estate Services in Evergreen, and have three fantastic children, now high school and college age. My dog, Lulu, was adopted from the Denver Dumb Friends League 10 years ago, and I also volunteer at the Senior Resource Center in Evergreen. I'm looking forward to meeting all the volunteers to learn how you help out at IMHS.
