On December 1, 2001 Intermountain Humane Society held the 2001 Holiday Howl, featuring a gourmet dinner and the stand up comedy of veterinarian Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald.  Dr. Fitzgerald is not only a fine veterinarian at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital, but has been featured on Animal Planets Emergency Vets series.

The event was a tremendous success!  Over 130 tickets were sold and over $3000 was raised to support IMHS activities.  In addition, we had the privilege of hosting representative of two foundation that have given tremendous support to IMHS for many years.  Mr. David Gies of the Animal Assistance Foundation and Mr. Charles Wolfe of the Mary Elizabeth Bates Foundation and the Dr. Mary E. Bates Trust joined us for the evening to celebrate the kickoff of a new year and new programs for Intermountain Humane Society.
