Intermountain Humane Society is an animal shelter serving all of Park County and parts of surrounding counties. We strive to serve both the animals and people in our mountain community. We are seeking a motivated and hard working person to join our staff and help in our mission to serve the many animals in need in our area and beyond.
The shelter supervisor position is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our life saving work. The person in this position is responsible for oversight, care and management of the day to day shelter activities. They will assist the shelter manager in staff and volunteer relations, ensuring that a safe and clean environment is maintained for all the animals and clients. They will perform adoptions, answer phones and must be willing to give excellent customer service. The shelter supervisor is the lead in our transfer program, building and fostering good relationships with underserved and overcrowded shelters who need our help to bring their animals in and find them wonderful homes. They also will be responsible for data entry, handling both adoption and donation money, record keeping and maintaining files.
Excellent customer service and staff management skills are a must. Priority will be given to someone with Veterinary Technician certification or equivalent experience, or someone with experience in a shelter environment and a strong understanding of animal health and behavior.
