There is only one month left until our big new fundraiser, the 2017 TRAILS FOR TAILS
The easiest way to join is by going to https://www.razoo.com/team/Trailsfortails
but you can come by the shelter and get the paper sponsorship forms too if you prefer.
The way it works is that you tell everyone that you'll be hiking Staunton State Park on July 23rd for IMHS. You can pick any part of the park you like. There is no cost to participate even if you don't get any sponsors. There are prizes for individuals or teams who raise the most money thanks to our sponsors Kong, Kurgo, Petsafe and Bentgate. You can hike with or without your dogs.
Here's the breakdown of the event:
8am--check in and grab free coffee from Conifer Starbucks
8:30--listen to a Wilderness and Dogs presentation by State Park Ranger
9am--awards for those who raised the most
9:10--HIT THE TRAILS
IMHS will also have goodie bags for donation for breakfast or snack for your hike. We start early so we avoid the heat of the day so will be packed up to go by 2pm.
Since it is at a state park, there is a day pass fee to get in if you do not have a state park's pass but that is good for all day--you do not need to leave when the event is over.
The total goal for the day is $10,000! As of now we have raised $785 and you can track progress at the same link: https://www.razoo.com/team/Trailsfortails
If hiking is not for you, you can sponsor another hiker or the entire event at the same link or come out and help volunteer for the event. Anyway you look at it, this new event will be a lot of FUN!
